Miss Wiltshire International, Nicole Cox, recently made a special appearance at The Great Western Hospital!

Nicole Cox, Miss Wiltshire International, has recently made a special appearance at The Great Western Hospital where she made a donation to the food bank and visited the children’s unit to give them some lovely little gifts!

Here’s what Nicole had to say about her visit:

‘I visited the Great Western Hospital (Swindon), my first stop, the Food Bank Collection with my donations of a few cans and crisp. I chatted with Rebecca Jewell, Community Dietician, about the work they do and it was interesting to learn about the increasing problem of malnutrition. The collection was very successful, and has inspired me to do an event in aid of the Food Bank, complimented with an existing idea of a theme of unwanted and recycled goods.

My next stop was the Children’s Unit. I had prepared some goody bags, consisting of notepads, pens, small toys, and other little things to keep them occupied and hopefully brighten their day! A few years ago, the Children’s Unit was my home for a month, due to being unable to walk because of an abscess that formed in my calf, so I understand that the hospital can be a scary place! However, all of the staff at GWH work incredibly hard to keep everyone as happy as they can be. It was a nostalgic visit for me, but giving gifts and making people smile always is rewarding!’

What an amazing appearance Nicole! Well done!
