Merry Christmas for our Miss Intercontinental Wales, Kelly Rowland!

Our gorgeous Miss Intercontinental Wales, Kelly Rowland, would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas!

‘It is a true honour to be able to write this as your Miss Intercontinental Wales 2016/17

Being Crowned in July was a dream come true, the Power Pageant was the 4th time I had competed in a Pageant Girl pageant having competed for the title Miss Galaxy Wales 3 times, and as all you pageant girls know it does not matter how much fun you have it is always hard news to take when you don’t take the crown you have worked so hard for.

I don’t think It truly sank in properly that my years of hard work had finally paid off until I found myself at Heathrow airport being treated like royalty waiting to board a plane to Sri Lanka.

The whole trip from start to finishing was amazing, we were welcomed by the people of Sri Lanka from the moment we landed with countless performances and gifts of flowers, elephant safari, a boat trip and visiting local villages, heritage sites and temples, we even had our own private train for the journey to our final hotel! We were treated to many events in the hotels such as a cooking competition, planting trees, and numerous parties and dinners.

It was an experience of a lifetime and one I will never forget…….. it was also one of the most exhausting things I have ever done but completely worth it to travel Sri Lanka and walk that international stage and wear my country’s sash with pride.

Thank you so much to Holly and all of the girls in the Pageant Girl office for this opportunity and for always being there for me even when I do forget about time differences when sending messages!

With many of you now looking forward and preparing for competitions in the new year I want to tell you to never give up on your dream or that crown no matter how impossible it may seam.

Merry Christmas everyone and a happy new year
